Eating disorders are where eating behaviours are harmful to a person’s health and wellbeing. Although often associated with women and girls, eating disorders affect men and boys too.

There are a number of types of eating disorder, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, over-eating, under eating and binge eating. Eating disorders are sometimes linked to depression or anxiety, and may be an individual’s way of trying to control their life or cope with other problems. There’s a lot of support available if you’re struggling with your own or someone else’s eating disorders.
