Looking for Family Problem support services? the lowdown are here to help! We provide free counselling and advice to young people aged 12-25yrs across Northampton.

Family problems are when something is happening within your family which is having a negative effect on you or other family members.

This can include things like arguments with parents or carers, money worries, stress and anxiety or problems with drugs or alcohol. Your family might include parents or carers, brothers and sisters, grandparents, or step, adopted or fostered members, as well as distant relatives like cousins, aunties or uncles – everyone’s family is unique. You might think you should be able to manage things within your own family, but sometimes it can be very tough.

You’re not alone

Most families experience problems at some point because there are so many ways they can develop, such as separation or divorce, new partners, step-siblings and disagreements or misunderstandings. Sometimes it can feel as if no one in your family understands or listens to you. But you’re not alone. There’s help and support available if you need it.

We can help

We helped 458 people like you deal with FAMILY PROBLEMS last year. We understand it can sometimes feel difficult, embarrassing or disloyal to talk about your family problems with someone outside the family. However, tackling these issues on your own can feel difficult and lonely. We can help.
