Looking for Pregnancy support services? the lowdown are here to help! We provide free counselling and advice to young people aged 12-25yrs across Northampton.
As well as physical changes to your body if you become pregnant, there are emotional, hormonal and practical changes too. This can mean there are all sorts of emotions involved – for both the expectant mother and her partner – whether it’s a planned or unplanned pregnancy.
The practical changes can also affect your relationships, families, living arrangements, social activities, finances and well being. There’s a lot to think about. There is no right or wrong way to feel about pregnancy, but it’s important to remember that both mother and partner may need support. There’s plenty of help available if you need it.
You’re not alone
We’re all different, and how we handle our own or our partner’s pregnancy will be different. A lot will depend on the support you have around you from family and friends, and how easy it is to make the choices that are right for you. There is lots of help, information and support available if you need it. We are here to help if you need someone to talk to.
