RE:Start Youth Engagement Worker (West)
Purpose of Role:
To reduce social isolation across the county for RE:Start clients through groups and events including the creation of a Youth Advisory Group in each Unitary area.

Contract: 2 Year Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £28,090.40 FTE
Hours: Full Time. Flexible Working will be required to fulfil the role.
Location: Based at The Lowdown in Northampton but covering the whole of the west of Northants.

Support Worker
Purpose of Role:
To develop a new service for 8 to 25 year olds to support with any issues young people face. This will enable them to ‘drop-in’ to our services for help with providing them appropriate support and improve accessibility to ours and other services to meet their needs. This service will also operate in the well-being café hours on a Monday and a Friday.
Contract: 9 Month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £28,090.40 FTE
Hours: 37 hours per week – 1 x Full-time / potentially 2 x part-time / Job share.
Drop in will be open in Northampton 1pm to 8pm Monday and Friday, 1pm and 6pm Tuesday to Thursday.
Flexible working to meet the requirement of the role.
Location: Northampton

Are you a Level 4 Advanced Diploma or MSc Counselling student who can work with our full age range of 11-25 year olds? Are you looking for a counselling placement opportunity offering discounted group supervision?
The Lowdown provide a blended counselling service (remote & face-to-face) for 11-25 year olds.

- COMPLETED APPLICATION FORM – download below
- 10 MINUTE RECORDING – preferably a video role-play with the applicant as a counsellor in session with a ‘client’ acted by a volunteer. Applicant will demonstrate: brief contracting, counselling skills and appropriately closing a session
- A SHORT, WRITTEN REFLECTIVE STATEMENT UPON THE ROLE-PLAY (between 250-500 words)
You will need a ‘Fit to Practise’ certificate (for remote and face-to-face practice) from your training provider and an enhanced DBS check for both young people and adults. This can be applied for through The Lowdown if needed.
