Wellbeing Support

The Lowdown offers wellbeing support services for young people and their families.

Espresso Yourself Wellbeing Café

The Espresso Yourself Café is for young people aged 11-18 years and their parents/carers every Monday and Friday evening between 4pm and 8pm. Due to our building at Kingswell Street being extended and refurbished, until further notice the Cafe will be held at the UoN Innovation Centre opposite the Train Station. If you are unable to drop in then you can gain support remotely by video or phone call.

If you need support with your mental health or find yourself in crisis then we’re here to listen and help you in your time of need. Our drop-in sessions have professional mental health workers who can offer you a safe space to talk and be listened to. We’d also like you to tell us what you need from us, and how best we can help and support you in times of crisis.

Parents and carers are also welcome to gain support, advice and information on our services.

If you’d like to come along to the Espresso Yourself Café at The Lowdown you can either drop in during opening times or call us on 01604 634385 to book an appointment with a support worker.

You can also call our Cafe Mobile number on 07985 268134 between 4pm and 7:30pm to have a 30 minute phone call with one of our Cafe Workers for remote support and advice.

Alternative times/locations are available with other friendly service providers too – see Espresso Yourself poster for details!
